Employee Sleep Rooms

Chronic sleep deprivation is common among first responders, health care providers and flight crews. Researchers have shown that poor sleep can result in an increase in burnout, injuries, errors, irritability, poor judgment and dangerous end-of-shift driving.

Employers are increasingly realizing the necessity of fatigue management by providing employee sleep rooms for employees to access during or after their shifts. But often, these spaces aren’t conducive to restorative slumber. 

Drawing on my interior design and health practitioner studies, as well as my experience in commercial design and the hotel industry, I help employers to craft calming, cost-effective employee sleep rooms for:

  • Paramedics
  • Fire fighters
  • Police officers
  • 9-1-1 Operators
  • Physicians & nurses
  • Pilots & flight attendants
  • Air Traffic Controllers

Included in this service is:

  • On-site walk-through of the sleep space
  • Your choice of:
    1) A tailored action plan including a vision board, floor plan, recommended resources for:  pillows, mattress, bedding, decor, light, sound, temperature and air quality. Implementation would be done by your organization. 
  •  2) Implementation of a tailored action plan that includes a vision board, floor plan and recommended resources for:  pillows, mattress, bedding, decor, light, sound, temperature and air quality) Please note:  Fees for tradespeople for lighting, sound, temperature, air quality, etc. would not be included in the fee.
  • Follow-up phone or on-line consultation to answer any questions you may have
